What is brow lamination and how does it work?

Brow lamination is a semi-permanent treatment that restructures the direction and shape of natural brow hairs for a fuller, more defined look. At Salon First, we stock a wide range of professional brow lamination products and kits designed to give beauty therapists complete control and salon-grade results.

The process involves:

  • Softening the hair with a lifting solution
  • Shaping it into the desired position
  • Setting it with a neutralising solution

Our Brow Lamination Starter Kit and Online Brow Lamination Training Course make it easy for professionals to master this trending service.

How long does brow lamination last?

When performed using professional products like those available at Salon First, brow lamination can last between 4 to 8 weeks, depending on hair type and aftercare.

To maintain optimal results:

  • Avoid water, heat, and oil-based products on the brows for at least 24 hours post-treatment
  • Use nourishing serums to support hair health and prolong results

We recommend offering or stocking aftercare solutions for your clients to maximise the benefits of every lamination session.

Is brow lamination safe, and who is a good candidate?

Yes—when performed by a trained professional using high-quality products like those from Salon First, brow lamination is a safe and effective treatment. It’s ideal for clients with:

  • Unruly, sparse, or asymmetrical brows
  • A desire for fuller, more defined brow shapes

It’s important to:

  • Perform a patch test 24–48 hours prior to treatment
  • Identify any contraindications such as sensitive skin or known allergies

Our Online Training Course covers all safety protocols, contraindications, and best practices to ensure excellent client outcomes.
