Eyelash Extension FAQs
What are lash extensions?
Lash extensions are semi-permanent synthetic or natural fibers that are individually applied to your natural lashes using medical-grade adhesive. They enhance the length, curl, and thickness of your lashes without the need for mascara.
How long do they last?
Lash extensions typically last 3 to 6 weeks, depending on your natural lash cycle and aftercare. To maintain a full look, infills are recommended every 2 to 3 weeks.
Are lash extensions safe and do they damage natural lashes?
Yes, they are generally safe when applied by a trained professional using proper techniques and adhesives. However, damage can occur if:
- Lashes are overfilled or too heavy.
- Poor application isolates multiple lashes together.
- Proper aftercare is not followed.
What are lash extension trays?
Lash extension trays are organized strips of individual lash fibers used by professionals during lash extension applications. Each tray includes multiple rows of lashes arranged by:
- Length – Typically from 6mm to 16mm or longer
- Curl Type – Such as C, D, L, or L+ curl
- Thickness – Common sizes include 0.05mm (volume) and 0.15mm (classic)
There are two main types of trays:
- Single-Length Trays – All rows are the same length, ideal for uniform, clean looks.
- Mixed-Length Trays – Include a variety of lengths for more customized lash mapping and styling.
