HOW TO USE ME:

Before Brow Tinting

Important Note: Complete a test patch prior to tinting.

Step #1 - Remove all eye makeup before tinting the eyebrows using an oil fee cleanser.

Step # 2 - In order to achieve the optimum tinting results, the eyebrows should be dry and free of all oils and sebum as this can create a barrier against all Brow Code Tints and it will not adhere to the surface layer of the skin or the hair.

Preparation of Tint

Mix equal parts of Brow Tint and Cream or Liquid Oxidant into a creamy paste using the enclosed application stick. The mixing ratio is 1:1 (Generally 4 drops of Cream or Liquid Oxidant is enough to make an even paste).

Tinting Brows

Step #1 - When the client has closed their eyes, apply the tint to the eyebrows using the application stick until they are completely covered in tint.

Step #2 - Ensure the tint is directly placed in the shape you are wanting to achieve as it can slightly stain the skin.

Step #3 - Application times vary 5-12 minutes depending on the desired intensity and results. The longer you leave it, the darker it will become.

Remove Tint

At the end of application time, remove excess tint with a dry cotton ball. Then proceed to remove excess tint in the areas that you want lighter by gently using an oil free cleanser, making sure no pigment is left outside of the brow. You can gently remove excess over the brow with an oil free cleanser.

Aftercare

  • Avoid using makeup and facial cleansers around the brow area for the following 24 hours.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, the use of sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools for 24 hours.
  • Avoid exfoliating and using anti-ageing products around the brow area for at least two to three days prior to and post treatment.
  • Avoid using any self-tanning products on the face for around two to three days either side of the treatment.
  • Avoid the temptation to over touch the brow area after a treatment. Touching with fingers can lead to oils entering open pores and clogging them.

  • Tinting Eyelashes - Optional

Important Note: Use the shades Black or Blue Black for tinting eyelashes.

Step #1 - Remove any contact lenses.

Step #2 - Put some skin protection cream on the client's lower lid and underside of the eye protection papers.

Step #3 - Press one of the eyelash protection papers right up under the eyelashes of each eye to ensure that no tint touches the skin.

Step #4 - Please use an application stick to apply the tint until the lashes are covered.

Step #5 - Application times vary 5-12 minutes depending on the desired intensity and results.

Step #6 - After the application time, remove the eyelash protection papers carefully and remove the excess tint using a dry cotton ball.

Step #7 - Finally remove any remaining tint with Micellar Water and cotton wool. The client’s eyes should remain closed until cleansing has been completed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a base coat with CND Vinylux?

No, CND Vinylux is uniquely formulated with a self-adhering technology, meaning it does not require a base coat. Instead, simply apply two coats of Vinylux Colour Polish followed by the Vinylux Weekly Top Coat for a durable, chip-resistant finish that lasts up to 7 days. Skipping the base coat also speeds up application and improves adhesion to the natural nail.

How long does Shellac last?

CND Shellac is known for its long-lasting wear, offering up to 14+ days of high-gloss, chip-free polish. When applied and cured properly using a CND LED lamp, it delivers a salon-quality finish that resists scratching, dulling, and peeling. Longevity may vary slightly based on nail condition and aftercare.

What is the difference between Shellac and gel nails?

CND Shellac is a hybrid gel-polish system—it combines the ease of polish with the performance of gel. It applies like traditional nail lacquer but requires UV/LED curing, offering a high-gloss finish with zero dry time. In contrast, traditional gel nails are made entirely of gel and often require buffing for removal, which can be harsher on the nail plate.

Shellac is easier to remove, usually within 5–10 minutes using acetone wraps, and is considered gentler on natural nails.

What’s the difference between brow tint, brow dye, and brow henna?

Each product offers a unique approach to colouring brows:

Brow Tint

A semi-permanent colour designed to tint both the brow hairs and a small amount of the skin underneath.

  • Offers a softer, more natural finish
  • Typically lasts 3–4 weeks on hair
  • Fades faster on the skin
  • Ideal for subtly enhancing existing brow shapes

Brow Dye

Also known as hybrid dye or intense tint, this provides stronger, longer-lasting pigmentation.

  • Lasts up to 7 days on skin and 6 weeks on hair
  • Great for clients wanting bold, defined brows

Brow Henna

A plant-based natural dye that stains both the skin and the brow hairs, delivering a tattoo-like effect.

  • Lasts up to 2 weeks on the skin and 5–6 weeks on hair
  • Ideal for sparse brows or clients seeking a fuller look without permanent makeup
